At the start of the sixties, two independent companies were founded, which later became associated:

	ATAG – An engineering and industrial design company which became one of the most known and specialized companies in the area of residual water treatment: industrial, sewage and potable water.
	MECALPE – A company specialized in fabricating industrial equipment and light and heavy metalworking, which has always excelled due to its high standard of quality and finishing of the products fabricated.
	ATAG-MECALPE, the Brazilian company arising from this union, allied technology to production means, becoming a solid and trustworthy company, whose products compete with the best local and international brands.

For over 45 years, ATAG-MECALPE has been satisfying the most requiring customers, in a variety of segments.
